At the Y, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. That’s why our child care programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need children have to feel connected and supported in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other. At the Y, babies develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about their world, and school-age kids make friends, learn new skills and do homework. Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. That makes for confident kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

The Massillon Family YMCA offers a before school program, an after school program, program for school days off and snow day off, and a summer day camp. All focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Families who receive publicly funded assistance from ODJFS are welcome.

School Days Off and Snow Days

When there's no school, planned or at the last minute, the Massillon Family YMCA is ready with fun and learning for children in our before and/or after school program. School Day Off and Snow Day Off programs are open from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm and include physical activities, sports, arts, crafts, and games. We even sneak some learning in there - but the kids never know because they are having too much fun.
