Helping Families Afford Child Care
ODJFS offers financial assistance to eligible needy parents or legal guardians to pay for child care while they engage in work or approved school or training activities. To be eligible for publicly funded child care, a family’s income must not exceed the current limit for the program. Families can be eligible for all or part of their monthly child care expenses. Stark County's department of job and family services determine families’ eligibility for this program. For more information, or to apply, inquire at Stark Department of Job and Family Services. 330-452-4661
YMCA Financial Assistance
The YMCA is committed to providing quality programs and services to all members of the community, regardless of their ability to pay. Once a family has applied and been found ineligible for Stark County's publicly funded child care, they may apply for the YMCA's financial assistance. The YMCA's assistance is made possible donations to and fundraiser for our Annual Campaign. If you feel we can help your family in this way, please click here for an application. Please include your JFS denial letter with your income verification.
